2022 / CREATIVE DIRECTION
Songsaa Hawaii is a luxury beauty brand offering exotic, all-natural oils for the face and body. With the tagline “A Sensual & Spirited Life,” the brand sought to embody the lush essence of Hawaii and the sensual energy that its products inspire. For this project, I was entrusted with creating the entire brand identity, working closely with the founders to bring their vision to life.
The founders of Songsaa Hawaii wanted a brand that deeply connected to Hawaii’s rich natural beauty while exuding sensuality and sophistication. The challenge was to craft a visual and tonal identity that mirrored the purity and intention behind their oils—sourced from incredible, all-natural ingredients—and resonated with their aspirational audience.
To bring their vision to life, I developed a luxurious and feminine brand identity, emphasizing Hawaii's vibrant essence and the sensual spirit of the oils:
✣ Designed a sleek and elegant logo that blends organic curves and clean lines, reflecting the natural yet elevated qualities of the brand.
✣ Chose a modern, feminine serif font paired with delicate sans-serif accents to convey sophistication and approachability.
✣ Created a harmonious palette of warm golds, lush greens, and soft blush tones inspired by Hawaiian sunsets and landscapes.
✣ Developed a sensual, feminine, and luxurious tone for the brand’s messaging across web and social platforms, aligning with the tagline.
This project was particularly memorable as it marked my first beauty brand collaboration. The luxurious, sensual aesthetic aligned perfectly with my design style, and I loved curating a brand identity that highlighted the founders’ incredible oils. Overseeing the project’s creative direction, including the evocative photography tone, made this experience deeply rewarding.
